This week around the country

Last Sunday we visited Bath (where eldest son is now at university) and did a bit of a tourist trail of such things as Royal Crescent

and outside The Abbey. There wasn’t a lot of time, but we’ll be back a few more times over the next few years…

On Thursday (as it was half-term) we were in London, accidentally  the same day as London Poppy Day, so got some extra free entertainment.

I went to the British Museum (for the first time ever) to seek out the ‘Witches and Wicked Bodies’ print exhibition, ahead of Halloween. It was very interesting, I’m looking at witches in a different light these days.

I shall write about the Halloween activities in a separate blog; this one mainly basks in the glory of great stone built buildings with pillars….
